[16 October 2006] 2006 GGOS Workshop took place in Munich, Germany: The 2006 GGOS Workshop attracted almost 60 participants (see a picture of participants...), who actively took part in the discussions of the scientific road map for GGOS and the strategy towards a GGOS for 2020. In four sesions, seven key notes based on position papers addressed issues such as the open scientific and societal problems that would benefit from geodetic observations, limitations due to inconsistencies across the three pillars of geodesy, as well as steps towards integration across these pillars. At the end, the rapporteurs summarized the key issues that surfaced during presentations and the lively discussions. The presentations, rapporteur summaries, and position papers are available on the Workshop Page.
