[17 June 2006] Reference-frame related task proposal submitted to GEO: The GGOS Principal to GEO has submitted a task proposal for the GEO Work Plan 2007-2009 titled Ensure the availability of accurate, consistent, homogeneous, long-term stable, global geodetic reference frames as a mandatory framework and the metrological basis for Earth observation. GEO is currently preparing the Work Plan for the next three years, and IAG together with GGOS is proposing this new task with focus on the conditions for determination and monitoring of the geodetic reference frames.
