[05 February 2010] GGOS Retreat took place in Miami: The 2010 GGOS Retreat took place in Miami with some 30+ participants. Focus was on discussion of the required products and observing systems in three themes, global unified height system, geohazards, and sea level rise, variability, and forecasting. In breakout sessions, a number of recommendations were drafted. Subsequent to the Retreat, the Seventeenth Meeting of the GGOS Steering Committee took place at the same venue. The meeting considered the recommendations from the retreat, but no firm decisions on how to follow these up were made..
