The GGOS Bureau on Standards and Conventions (BSC)

The BSC was formally established at the Fourteens Meeting of the GGOS Steering Committee in December 2008 following a Call for Proposals published in July 2008. The BSC is jointly hosted by the Research Group on Satellite Geodesy in Germany. The Director of the BSC is Urs Hugentobler, Technical University Munich.

The current activities of the BSC are based on and continue the work of the GGOS Working Group on Conventions and Modeling, which existed from 2005 to 2008. The Working Group was chaired by Hermann Drewes.
